Finding Inspiration from the Media

I don’t often watch television or movies anymore. I stay so busy in other areas of my life I often feel guilty for sitting idly. However, I have learned to slow down, take some focus away from the business of life, and find some entertainment, some laughs, and even some inspiration. I collected a few quotes from some of my media favorites that help me move forward on tough days:

“Death is so terribly final, while life is full of possibilities.” –George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

“Try not. Do or do not. There is no try.” Yoda, Star Wards, Episode V, The Empire Strikes Back

“Let us learn to show our friendship for a man when he is alive and not after he is dead.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

“And I must believe that man has the power to know the right, to choose between good and evil and know that his choice has made a difference...” –Marion Zimmer Bradley, The Mists of Avalon

“Being normal is vastly overrated.” –Aggie Cromwell, Halloweentown

“But it's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you.” –Rachel Dawes, Batman Begins
